National Naginata Seminar

Seminar Summary
The seminar will be led by Alex Bennett (5th Dan) and Saori Shioyama (5th Dan) and is open to members of the New Zealand Kendo Federation and the Australian Naginata Federation.
Venue
Cultural hall at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Centre, 313 Sunset Road, Mairangi Bay, Auckland. There are no showers or changing rooms at the venue.
Schedule
Monday 3rd March:
- 8am – doors open
- 8.30am-12pm – seminar
- 12pm-1pm – lunch
- 1pm-4.30pm – seminar
- 6pm – dinner
Tuesday 4th March:
- 8am – doors open
- 8.30am-10am – seminar
- 10.15am-12pm – grading
- 12pm-1pm – lunch
- 1pm-4pm – seminar
Fees
- Seminar: $30 (this will include lunch)
- Dinner – venue to be confirmed, please allow ~$40

Payment
New Zealand based attendees please deposit your fee into the New Zealand Naginata group account using your surname as a reference.
Overseas based attendees are welcome to pay the seminar fee in cash on the day to avoid international banking fees. Please put payment into an envelope with your name on it.
Grading information
Grading will be available up to 1st kyu.
New Zealand Kendo Federation members must register for grading through https://nzkendo.helloclub.com. If you do not, you will not be able to grade.
Australian candidates need to provide a letter from the Australian Naginata Federation showing they have permission to grade and a copy of their current menjo. Send both to derrett@gmail.com.
